A Time to Begin: Yoga for Beginners with Gina Greene, RYT500

There are many thoughts that dissuade us from stepping into a room full of folks who are practicing yoga. If you are new to the practice of yoga or new to me as a teacher and would like to taste a gentle, slow and friendly practice, I encourage you to commit to a few classes with me and see how it feels for your body, mind and heart. You will be with others who are new to the practice. We will talk a little about this ancient practice called yoga and we will move our bodies in and out of basic movements that are chosen for their accessibility.

Yoga is primarily a practice of attention. As a teacher, I am most interested in creating a space and offerings that allow you to direct attention inward as you develop a kinder and more consistent relationship with yourself. The aim of this time spent in relationship with self is that we will see more clearly the turth of our connection to all of life and to each other.

We will explore yoga postures (asana) as a way to practice presence, steady attention, honesty and availability. The movement also increases our flexibility, strength and balance. You might feel lighter, calmer, more relaxed, happy, juicy, powerful, clear-minded and/or connected. It is a fascinating practice that I hope you will join me to explore. If you have any questions or concerns that are creating resistance, please reach out and have a conversation with me?
